Next, we went to 黄鹤楼. Nice structure, like palace.
Enjoy the photos.

Overall, its an enjoying trip today! :) there are more photos but not with me. haha
As usual, MSNING & WEBCAMING! nightsieee

Day 5

Visit to the steel factory today. Woke up early and as usual I’m the last one to wake up. Haha!
It’s an eye opener for me as the factory is super big and is a great chance for us to take a look at the processes of the steel. However, is quite hot inside due to the high temperature they used to melt the liquefied substances before manufacturing the steel.

Headed to lunch at one of the muslim stall. It sell la mian. I ordered a egg la mian but is with beef soup! Didn’t know it till willis told me. Lucky I ate a mouthful only and ordered a new plate of egg fried rice. Make me so sinful! Haha

that sinful noodle. haha

Taste nicer!

Went back to our hostel to take a nap. Nice sleep! FRIED RICE AGAIN for dinner from the night market, better than nothing. Haha. Shopping day tomorrow!: ) woott. Continue webcaming now. Bye people ;p

Day 4

It’s the 4th day today. Culture lesson starts today at 8am. It was so early and I overslept. Lesson includes the introduction of Hubei, the famous historical people like Cao Cao and ZhuGeLiang, geography of Huebi, festival, lifestyle and tourism.

One of their biggest project is the three gorges. It took 17years for them to complete and it will be done by 2009. Sounds cool uh! This is a ram project to control the flood. We are going to visit this place soon!

Break time, everyone was so tired!

Had lunch at the school canteen. Their food was not that bad, acceptable but one bad point is that it is too oily. The utensils they used are stainless steel bowl and plates. It is their way of eating with such utensils so I’m fine with it and the food too.

After lunch, we went back to our room to take a nap before dinner. We were so tired, eyes dozing off during lecture. Haha . I need at least 10hours of sleep everyday!

It’s dinner time! Woke up at 630pm. Despite raining, 13 of us went to have dinner at the restaurant across the school. It was super duper cheap! 10 course meal that cost only 343RMB which is S$70plus only! So, we only paid about S$6 plus. In Singapore, it would cost a few hundred dollars. Can afford to eat as many times as we want. Haha.

Moreover, the food was delicious. I like one of the dishes which is stew potato and chicken with soya sauce and, the dumpling! Woooot!

The rain still pouring so we went back to our hostel straight after dinner. Same routine again, bath, writing journal and sleep. Haha.

Shall end here. Going to sleep now, got to wake up early like 650am! We are going to metal production company tomorrow : ) More updates! Nightssssss

Day 3

Class started at 9am this morning. Took about 2hours of introduction and what are we suppose to do for this module and headed for lunch.

Ate cup noodles with lunch!

Headed to Zhong Shan Park by bus. The bus was very packed, people squeezing even though it is packed. The dustbin in the bus was so dirty with saliva spitted in it. I noticed something UNGLAM! It goes like this, a lady was pretty wore but when she lifted up his hand to hold the railing of the bus, OH MY GOD! Her armpit hair did not shave. Haha.

Finally we reached the park! The park is damn big and there’s an amusement park over there. Took the trilling roller coaster and its very very very scary!

The speed was so fast and it turned 360 degree. Haha. closed my eyes and dare not even look at it till the ride stopped.

Spot me!

Next, was Viking ride! Scary too! Sitting on the Viking and swing up high. Haha. I will not take another ride of roller coaster or Viking anymore. What I noticed was the small little child in Wuhan dare to take those rides without the accompany of their parents. I feel so impressive and they have such a huge courage at this age.
Saw the opera group performed at one of the shelter of the park. This is hardly be seen in Singapore in such area unless there’s an event then there will be an opera performance. I found it quite interesting and an eye opener today.

Enjoy the photos :)

Thow daring we are!

Shopping! There’s Sogo shopping centre but the price is about the same as Singapore. Therefore, we did not buy anything over there.

Wuhan "TuChan" bought by the 2 uni students. So kind of them spending their day guiding us and not forgetting their laughter.

Lotus seeds

Duck's neck! its spicy!
It was dinner time. We went to have zhajiang mian, xian long bao and a few types of drinks which consists of ba bao cha, rice drink that have a little amount of wine. Next, we went to walk around and I bought an adiddas shirt for both of us, 40% discount! :)

Cab back to hostel and use the internet! Its super cheap taking a cab here, only 28RMB for 4person.
Haha finally there’s good internet connection for 24hrs Sleeping time again! Nightsss. webcaming : )

Day 2

Welcome ceremony for us early in the morning. Vice president had his opening speech and we proceed to tour around the school.

Jump Jump!

Had mac for lunch again. Two of our meals for two days was mac! I was like huh.. mac again? Yearn for a proper meal.

Went to the supermarket to buy the necessities and headed to buy the global sim card.
Notice the lifestyle of the people in Wuhan. Playing mahjong and gambling right outside their shop or along the street and littering as they walked but no one cares at all. You wont get to see these in sg!

Its heavy plsss! : (

We went to one of the mobile shop and ended up they gave the wrong card to Mr Puah. They did not allow an exchanges or refund to him.

Hence, Mr Puah had to purchase another sim card. During the process, the salesperson had to go fro and back so many times to the china mobile along the street to get the correct sim card and activated. Lacking of communication between them.

Something interesting while we were in the shop. Every little boy, their pants are cut at the ass, where the shit. This make it convenient for them to shit when they went out as they do not need to take off their pants. HAHAA!

In the end we bought a prepaid card which cost 120RMB which consists of 100RMB value. It didnt help much at all. still quite ex but better than auto roaming =x

Photos taken along the way
I MISS HOME! haha

Went for a run around the campus with weiling and chinxiang. Feeling good after about 40mins of exercise. Got to exercise if not I will get fat eating so many of heaty and oily food every day. haha

Yeah! Went to the night market to packet our dinner. The fried rice and fried potato was yummy but the potato is a bit salty. Squatting around the small stool eating in the room was funny and it was the first time.

Dinner time!
It’s my first time washing my clothes too! I did not wash any clothes at home before, even if there is, that will be one shirt that I had washed only. This time round was a lot! Gotta wash for 40days! Zz. and my bathing time still did not improve, still 45mins to 1hr ;p

Its 12am and we are giving willis, the birthday boy a surprise, PILLOW FIGHT! Hahaa!

Overall, 2nd day in Wuhan is getting more interesting and there’s more to come. Getting use of here and it’s a rare experience observing their lifestyle and living together with friends.

Day 1

Left to Wuhan early this morning at 5am as checked in is done at 545am. Group of friends were there to send us off.

It really touched me and can’t bear to leave at the same time. It’s going to be 6weeks of a new experiencing and challenging life to me, staying overseas for such a long time but it would be rare fun trip.

Board the plane at 730am and transfer at GuangZhou to Wuhan. The zip of my luggage was also broken! Felt of zz.. cant they take good care of the stuff? Still, I think Singapore airport is still the best as in quality and atmosphere.

at GuangZhou airport

My fun project group!

Finally we reached Wuhan at 5pm plus! : ) board the bus to the university. Photos were taken and notice their lifestyle along the way. Very different from Singapore and some guys even went out or cycled along the road half naked. Oh ya! I noticed something too. Indeed all of them wear shoes when they are out and by 10pm the shops are closed and hardly anyone is on the street. The rich and poor can be easily differentiated too.

Wuhan airport

Got our rooms! steffi, sebas and I in the same room. Guess what??! Gosh! The room was like living in an army life. The bed, surrounding is so dusty and the toilet with squat instead of toilet bowl. There’s even a cockroach in our room! Can’t believe that we are living in such condition, far apart from what we expected.

my bed

steffi and sebas

the pathetic toilet

Guess this is the time when we got to learn to be independent, flexible and being adapt but still the rooms should be better than this. Haha. At least there's heater and aircon which they install just for us. Appreciated :)

Had our dinner at mac and went back to our rooms to tidy up. Super dusty and lack of equipment like broom, toilet paper. Hope there's internet connection tomorrow! :)

An interesting and unexpected 1st day in wuhan. There’s more to come! Wonder how I’m going to survive my remaining 42days. Hopefully there’s no cockroach! So scary! And i think Singapore is still best! Haha

Alright, shall stop here and gonna turn in now. Stay tune : )
